The Explorer embodies rock guitar, and the Gibson Custom Explorer Custom delivers that classic tone and feel along with premium Custom Shop appointments. Gibson has taken the iconic Explorer platform and given it a distinctive look, dressed with an ebony fretboard.

This particular version was custom ordered at Gibson Custom Shop as a M2M order an it features a stunning Silverburst finish and a set of 496R / 500T Humbuckers. The tone is powerfull, extremely focused, with a roaring lower end. The ceramic magnets deliver all the power that an active pickup would bring, without being as "cold".
