In the last years the Gibson Custom Shop has reached quality standards never achieved before, managing to replicate with absolute loyalty the Golden Era Gibson instruments that have become legendary.
Today's Historic Collection series draws from the appreciated and coveted True Historic series most of the most important technical and construction details, still creating tools with an important price, but with quality levels never achieved before by instruments of this price range.
Guitars are made entirely from ultra-selected woods, hide glues, ultra thin nitrocellulose finishes for maximum resonance, True Historic plastic parts.
For 2019 this already extraordinary set of technical details is complemented by the improved fretboard inlays, as faithful in terms of aesthetics as those used in the 1950s, and the period-correct frets: i.e. we find lower frets on all models which reissue instruments before 1959.
Finally, a special mention to the electronics, which consists of the new Custom Bucker pickups, Alnico III, now offered in an Unpotted version, and a set of Bumble Bee capacitors perfectly identical to the originals.
