Gibson Custom 1957 Les Paul Goldtop M2M 2014 VOS

Gino Guitars is proud to offer this special instrument part of the "Made 2 Measure" program. The Gibson Custom Shop realized this instrument following our specs. To realize this guitar we got inspired by Slash's Goldtop Les Paul. The Goldtop finish is the "Bullion Gold", the Goldtop used by Gibson Custom Shop till 2012, the same found on Slash's Les Paul Goldtop. The neck has a 50's Rounded profile, pretty fat but still confortable. An amazing and exclusive instrument loaded with the amazing 2014 specs.

It's the minute changes that have made this guitar literally a new instrument. First off, and most noticeably - Gibson has reformulated the Gold finish of the Goldtop as well as the stain to the mahogany back. The Gold has been reformulated to be "richer" with a bit more green shading to it, and it adds a bit more depth as you turn the body to see the top dish carve. The stain of the mahogany back has been redone to capture more depth and detail to the grain as well. The truss rod in the mahogany neck is unsheathed from its tube encasing from previous years, and the neck is fitted to the body with hide glue. These are changes which we feel increases the resonance of the instrument, and the hide-glue also is helpful in removing the neck of the guitar for repair without damaging the surrounding wood of the body. The Kluson Deluxe tuners have been redesigned, with a proper vintage shape and color. Also, the fretboard and body binding has been darkened color-wise for a more vintage-accurate look.

The 2014 1957 Les Paul Goldtop M2M is loaded with a new Custom Bucker pickup in neck position, humbucker that are Gibsons last and most accurate recreation of the original '50s PAF pickups yet, if you ask us. The Custom Buckers sound full and detailed, with lots of punch and great response to both your picking dynamics as well as the volume and tone settings. For the Bridge a Burstbucker 3, with a very defined and aggressive sound.

All in all, we thought we couldn't be any bigger fans of the Historic Reissue Les Paul at the Gino Guitars than we already are, but these guitars have without a doubt taken it up a notch. They're all resonant, toneful, and best of all - fun to play. Pick one up, and see for yourself.
